JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting in accelerating the development cycle of new products and
production support efforts in engineering. Attention to detail, acute observation skills, analytical and
mechanical skills as well as an understanding of good manufacturing practices are required to ensure
design specifications and quality standards are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work in a team-oriented environment to support existing products and help transition new products to production
- Assist in the execution of engineering changes and new product qualification testing
- Assist in the creation of production work instructions and documentation
- Aid marketing and engineering in research projects (industry trends, new tech, new engineering practices, etc) to enhance project developments.
- Assist in the creation, management and execution of wire harness creation
- Assist in the diagnosis and testing of flight behaviors Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Debugging and problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork, strategic thinking, and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED:
- Progress toward a B.S. degree in Engineering, Physics or other hard sciences
- Experience with PCBA and packaged electronics manufacturing processes
- Experience with common fabrication techniques
- Experience with TOC and Lean (Six Sigma) theories and practices
- Experience with ISO 9001 requirements and certification processes
- Experience with ERP Systems (Acumatica)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to use fingers for both gross and fine manipulation
- Ability to reach at or below shoulder level w/ arms & use hands to seize, hold, & grasp objects
- Near visual acuity is required
- Ability to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
- Ability to push or pull objects
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
