Impact: All Switchblade-Elite aircraft equipped with Remote ID.
Introduction
The Remote ID will report a prearm error message of ‘Bad System Data’. This error arises from non compatible user inputs.
Description
A firmware issue was discovered when inputting the user data into the Remote ID page for all Mk2.3 aircraft. This issue presents as a prearm error message of ‘Bad System Data’ and will not allow the aircraft to complete its prearm checks, effectively grounding the aircraft. Due to this issue a new set of boundary conditions are required when setting up the area radius and ceiling
in the Remote ID page.
Resolution
Moving forward all Mk2.3 aircraft equipped with Remote ID will need to comply with the following acceptable values when setting up the area radius and ceiling in the Remote ID page.
Area radius acceptable values are 0m to 2550m
Ceiling acceptable values are -1000m to 31767.5m
The floor values are not affected. Additionally, there are no issues encountered when flying the aircraft past the input values for area radius and ceiling.
Customer Impact
Customers will need to modify their set up values for Remote ID area radius and ceiling to comply with the provided acceptable values.
