INTRODUCTION
Some users have reported difficulty initializing their GoPro Hero 10 FPV (first person view) cameras prior to flight.
DESCRIPTION
It was discovered that the firmware package that the GoPro Hero 10 cameras ship with was updated, disabling the ability to power the camera independently from the supplied battery.
RESOLUTION
A new firmware package was developed by Vision Aerial to allow the GoPro Hero 10 cameras to be powered independently from the supplied battery. The fix to this issue can be done in the field as long as there is an internet connection. To implement this fix please contact the Service team at [email protected] to receive the new firmware package and additional instructions.
CUSTOMER IMPACT
After completing installation of the new firmware package, the GoPro Hero 10 will no longer be required to utilize the supplied battery. The removal of the battery will reduce weight, increase stability, and increase flight times.
